Every year due to construction, accidents,
weather and other factors, excavators will inevitably encounter some unexpected
situations, this year's flood season, many places suffered flooding, excavators
as an important tool, rescue and relief played a huge role in the disaster. But
in the construction process sometimes easy to fall into the water, in order to
minimize the loss into the water, here to share some excavators flooded by the
processing of tips, I hope to help you love machine people.
Note: After flooding, do not start the
machine blindly without checking and treating it. Blind start-ups can easily
cause secondary damage to the machine and system failure.
01. Engine
system
The engine water is entering the cylinder
from the air filter; the second is entering the crankcase from the engine
exhaust gas port. The engine, as the heart of the excavator, needs to be
checked at first after flooding.
Open the oil drain and preheat plug, if there
is water and sediment inside, the whole engine needs to be dismantled and
cleaned to ensure the cleanliness of all parts before reinstallation.
Check the diesel tank, if water and sediment
are found inside, you need to drain the impurities before doing a thorough
cleaning and replace the diesel filter.
02. Hydraulic system
Due to the normal work of the excavator, the
hydraulic oil tank is sealed, the internal tank usually does not have
impurities into, but in the tank cover with a venting device, if the water
level to the tank breathing mouth may have water infiltration, then the mouth
should first speak of the position, higher than the water surface can be.
If there is water and sediment infiltration,
it is necessary to drain the hydraulic oil, and the tank will be thoroughly
cleaned and replaced with new hydraulic oil and hydraulic oil filter.
It is also necessary to check the control
valves and other hydraulic components, if no water is found to enter, to ensure
that the pumps and valves can work properly.
03. Electrical system
The electrical system is the most afraid of
water, but also very fragile, once the excavator into the water, should
immediately pull out the fuse; remove the battery line; remove the computer
board. When overhauling the electrical system must be careful, first we have to
clean the exterior of the blister electrical components, after cleaning we have
to disassemble and clean the interior of each component, clean and dry.
In addition, electrical plugs and coils are
easily oxidised and damaged after being soaked in water. They need to be
carefully checked and the oxidised parts disposed of, and if they are too
serious they need to be replaced with new parts.
Finally, we hope that you will be careful and
pay attention to safety when driving your excavator and try to avoid your
machine being flooded. If the machine is flooded please contact a professional
technician in time to overhaul it.
