On November 7, SANY Marine grandly launched its first 40-tonne pure electric material handler - SMHW40E in Zhuhai Industrial Park, marking SANY's official entry into a brand new chapter in the field of pure electric material handling.
SMHW40E leads the industry change with excellent performance. Its 507kWh large capacity battery, combined with advanced boom potential energy recovery and rotational kinetic energy recovery technology, ensures up to 7 hours of continuous operation, while the comprehensive operating cost is only one-fifth of similar fuel equipment, which significantly cuts down the operating cost for enterprises.
The SMHW40E also excels in efficiency and functionality. It comes standard with an industry-leading electronically controlled response system and an independent power slewing mechanism, which improves overall efficiency by up to 20%. The tyre chassis design combines both speed and power, with a maximum travel speed of up to 20km/h. It can easily cope with the challenge of 30% gradients, demonstrating strong mobility and quick turnaround capability.
In order to further enhance the ease of operation and maintenance, the cab of the SMHW40E has also been completely upgraded, with a new openable sunroof and front window design, allowing the driver to enjoy a more comfortable working environment.
In terms of operating capacity, the SMHW40E is equipped with a golden combination of a 7.5m bucket and a 9.8m boom, which extends the maximum operating radius to 16.5m, the gripping depth up to 4.5m and the gripping height up to 18m. These excellent performance parameters ensure energy saving, environmental protection, safety and reliability, while also achieving a significant increase in construction efficiency.
