The primary function of the engine lubrication system is to prevent
friction from occurring between parts that have relative motion.
Oil in the lubrication system cycle workflow - gear type oil pump from
the oil sump to absorb oil, after the oil cooler and filter, respectively, flow
to the left and right camshaft oil channel and the main oil channel, through
the main oil channel to the turbocharger, crankshaft, piston, cooling nozzle
and other parts of the oil supply. After completing its task, the oil naturally
flows back to the oil sump by its own gravity and then starts the next cycle.
1. Oil level check
The oil level checked while the engine is stopped is more accurate.
When checking, make sure that the engine is placed horizontally.
2. Oil filter change
Change the oil filter at every oil change or if the differential
pressure of the oil filter reaches 103 kPa. Note: Do not attempt to clean the
oil filter and then use it again.
3. Drain the oil
You need to drain the old oil before changing the oil. Be careful not
to drain the oil when it is cold. Because waste particles settle to the bottom
of the oil pan when the oil is cold, these waste particles may not be drained
with the cold oil. Drain the oil in the sump after the engine has been running
and the oil is still warm, as this will help to drain the waste particles
suspended in the oil as well.
4. Disassemble and check the old filter element
Cut off the end caps on both sides of the oil filter element. Unfold
the pleated paper and check the filter element for metal debris. Excessive
metal debris in the filter element may indicate early wear or an impending
failure. Use a magnet to separate the ferrous and non-ferrous metals found in
the oil filter element.
5. Refilling the oil
Remove the oil filler cap. Oil can only be added to the crankcase
through the oil filler tube.
6. Crankcase breather
The crankcase breather is a simple venting device installed above one
of several valve covers and then connected to the atmosphere through a breather
tube outside the generator room. The crankcase breather and breathing tube
should be kept free of blockage and oil gathering.
